Moved to Australia 2007) I have been a collage artist and illustrator for twenty-three years. In London I thrived in a dense man-made environment working primarily as a commercial artist producing digital collages for print. Since moving to Australia in 2007 I have adapted to sun, sea and bush by producing distinct bodies of analogue work for exhibition. In 2017 I shifted my artistic practice and began experimenting with moving paper images. Since then I have added to my portfolio over twenty paper-stop-motion animations and currently this is my focus and is at the heart of all my commissioned work. Recently I was commissioned by Wollongong Art Gallery to produce a 3-minute film to celebrate their forty year Anniversary. I combined paper stop motion techniques with old photographs to tell the story, and I recreated the Dickson Gallery in paper and card, hanging to-scale prints of actual paintings. My fine arts methods focus on analogue collage techniques and on Port Kembla as subject matter: I am a devotee of the incredible clashing worlds of industry and nature there: I see great beauty and inspiration in both. My best work to date includes a Light Show for Viva la Gong 2017, which is a 7- minute animation collated and edited in Premiere Pro and constructed from the products from all previous collages/animations from participants my Wollongong Workshops. Current works include a light show for Nights on Crown in Wollongong in mid-June 2018; an exhibition to be held in the Community Access Gallery in May 2019, and an animation for Mars Confectionery, UK.
