Artist Statement

I am continually finding myself more often a mixed multimedia artist. Ranging from sculpture, painting, photography and beyond, I like to create and capture images of sites and settings that reflect the natural and imposed architecture of the ecosystem. Taking inspiration from things such as microscopy, human biology, fungi, architecture, organic morphology and natural history.

My process usually starts with samples under a microscope and/or the photography of an instance. Research and visualisation then come in the form of a chosen media that interests me at the time. Acrylic/oil paints, mixed found and made object sculpture, photography, digital imagery and/or textile.

My art is a way for me to delve and discover more into the depths of my interests. It is a recording device of my explorations and love of ologies.
